What Does the Scholarship Cover?
JSU offers several types of financial awards based on the applicant’s degree level and background.
Master’s Degree Scholarships
Type A
- Amount: CNY 25,000
- Eligibility:
- Current JSU bachelor’s graduates continuing to a master’s program
- Nominees from “Belt and Road” partner universities
- Graduates from globally top 1000 universities (US News, QS, THE, ARWU)
- Students from China’s “First-Class Universities” or “First-Class Disciplines”
Type B
- Amount: CNY 20,000
- Eligibility: All other admitted master’s students
PhD Degree Scholarships
Type A
- Coverage:
- Full tuition fees
- Accommodation allowance (CNY 5,000)
- Living stipend (CNY 5,000)
- Eligibility: Same categories as above (adapted for PhD level)
Type B
- Coverage:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation allowance (CNY 5,000)
- Eligibility: Other admitted PhD students
Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Programs
- Coverage: CNY 10,000 (First academic year only)
- Eligibility: Students enrolled in English-taught bachelor’s programs such as:
- Material Science and Engineering
- E-Commerce
- Corporate Finance
Eligibility
- Must be a non-Chinese citizen
- Hold a valid passport and academic transcripts
- Be applying to or admitted into an eligible degree program at JSU
- Age limits:
- Bachelor’s: under 25 years
- Master’s: under 30 years
- PhD: under 40 years

- Academic transcripts and degree certificates (notarized and in English if applicable)
- English language proficiency certificate (IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent)
- HSK-4 certificate (for programs taught in Chinese)
- Two recommendation letters (Master’s and PhD only)
- Research proposal (Master’s and PhD only)
- Personal financial statement
- Completed JSU Presidential Scholarship application form
