This fully funded opportunity is offered by Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) for outstanding international students from all around the world. The scholarships are available for Bachelor’s, Master’s & PhD programs, giving students a chance to pursue world-class education in one of China’s top-ranked universities.
NPU offers two major scholarships the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) and the NPU President’s Scholarship both designed to support talented students for the 2026–2027 academic session. These awards cover tuition, accommodation, insurance & monthly living stipends.

The NPU International Scholarships 2026 are fully funded and cover nearly all academic and living costs.
1. Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC):
- Full tuition fee coverage
- On-campus accommodation

- Monthly stipend:
- Master’s: 3,000 CNY/month
- PhD: 3,500 CNY/month
2. NPU President’s Scholarship:
Available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, this scholarship has three levels:
- Excellence Scholarship: Full tuition, accommodation, insurance & monthly living allowance.
- Undergraduate: 1,500 RMB/month
- Master’s: 2,000 RMB/month
- PhD: 3,500 RMB/month
- Full Scholarship: 100% tuition fee waiver
- Partial Scholarship: 50% tuition fee waiver
3. Xi’an City “Belt and Road” Scholarship:
This special scholarship is aimed at students from Belt and Road partner countries.
- Undergraduate: 100% or 50% tuition + 15,000 CNY/year
- Master’s: 20,000 CNY/year
- PhD: 25,000 CNY/year

- Completed Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form (CSC applicants only)
- Valid passport copy
- Highest degree diploma (notarized in English or Chinese)
- Academic transcripts (notarized in English or Chinese)
- Study plan or research proposal (in English or Chinese)
- Proof of English or Chinese language proficiency
- Non-criminal record certificate (issued within the last 5 months)
- Medical examination form
- For Undergraduate Applicants:
- Guardian’s authorization letter and ID copy
- For Postgraduate Applicants:
- Two recommendation letters
- Supervisor acceptance letter
- Proof of research achievements (if available)
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the NPU International Scholarships 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a non-Chinese citizen in good physical and mental health.
- Bachelor’s applicants: aged 18–30 with a valid passport.
- Master’s applicants: must hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
- PhD applicants: must hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
- Meet the academic and language requirements of the chosen program.
